What Are Budgets?
Budgets let you set a monthly spending limit for any category. VaultSio tracks every transaction against your budgets and shows you exactly how much you've spent and how much remains — helping you stay in control.
Creating a Budget
Open the Budgets tab
Tap Budgets in the bottom navigation bar.
Tap Add Budget
Tap the + or Add Budget button to open the budget creation form.
Choose a category
Select the spending category you want to budget for — e.g. Food & Dining, Transport, Entertainment.
Set the limit amount
Enter the maximum amount you want to spend in this category per month.
Save the budget
Tap Save. The budget appears on the Budgets screen with a progress bar showing current spending.
💡 Tip: When your spending reaches 80% of a budget limit, VaultSio sends you a notification so you have time to adjust before overspending.
Reading the Budget Progress Bar
- Green — spending is well within limit
- Amber — approaching the limit (80%+)
- Red — limit exceeded
Editing or Deleting a Budget
On the Budgets screen, tap the budget card you want to change. Select Edit to update the limit or category, or Delete to remove it. Changes take effect immediately.
